Finally!

He finally let us see his face yesterday at the doctor. After about 15-20 minutes of prodding and pushing he finally turned the way the radiologist needed in order to see him. He definitely didnt like it very much he kept kicking and pushing her back. He is definitely Todd's child because he cannot be woken when he is sleeping. And he is definitely mine because of his nose. We were so excited to finally see his face. The pictures are really creepy if you've never seen one before, but let me tell you its completely different when it's your child. It's amazing to see what he will look like before he comes out. Well we hope you enjoy the pictures!

27 weeks

I swear he gets noticeably bigger every week. But maybe I'm just seeing things. What do you guys think?

We go for another checkup this friday our last 4 week check up, then they switch to every 2 weeks. We are hoping to get a good 3D ultrasound then too. So hopefully I will have pictures of him to post soon. I'm a little worried that I'm gaining too much weight. I was only gaining about 5-7 lbs each time I went to the doctor but the last time I gained 10 and I've been weighing myself and I think I will gain 10 again. I hope I'm not gaining too much weight, but I dont look any different except in the belly area. Todd's mother gained 75lbs with him so I'm worried our little boy wont be so little. He was 10 ounces when he was supposed to weigh 7 ounces. He should weigh around 2 lbs right now but I plan on finding out how much he really weighs friday. Just pray that I'm not a big fatty and eating too much. I also get my sugar tested this friday too so hopefully we are good on that end. And those of you who were planning on attending the December 5th baby shower it looks like that date may change, my brother is coming home from deployment that weekend we think so the date might change. Just dont make any specific plans as of yet. The other baby shower in Timberlake is right on schedule though. Please send me your address if you would like an invite.

Update

Todd finally got to feel the baby move the other day. Or at least he realized what he was feeling. I had been telling him to feel and he would and say he didnt feel anything. He thought I was just breathing, but it was really him kicking. He finally felt him and he kicked for him a couple of times before he stopped. After school this past week a few of my drill team girls were in my room waiting on practice to start and I told Brannsyn to feel the baby and she felt him kick, but when another girl Hannah put her hand on him he stopped. I just told her the baby liked her and was soothed by her hand.

He is on a regular routine, I feel him all the time in the afternoon and at night before I got to sleep. He is very active and moves around all the time. I think he knows when the dogs are laying on me because he always moves when they are sleeping in my lap.

The last time we went to the doctor we tried to get a 3D ultrasound but the baby was lying on his stomach and all we could see was the back of his head. We've scheduled another one in a couple of weeks so hopefully we will be able to see him next time. We started our registry at Target, but we really need to research before we go again...we had no clue what to register for. Hopefully we will be able to finish it soon. Our first baby shower is in Roxboro on November 22 from 3pm-5pm at Antioch Baptist Church in Timberlake. The second baby shower is tentatively on December 5 from 2pm-4pm at Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Staley (where we got married).
